Sally Thorne is a debut author born in England in 1951. She published her first novel, The Hating Game, in August 2016, an humorous and sexy romance. As she spends her days funding submissions and drafting contracts, she likes to spice her free time writing, while climbing into colorful fictional worlds of her own creation.

Sally currently lives in Canberra, Australia. She believes that romance readers are always searching for intensity in their next favorite book—and it isn’t always so easy to find.

With The Hating Game (2016), she bursts on the scene offering us a sexy workplace comedy all about that thin, fine line between hate and love.

Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman hate each other. Not dislike. Not begrudgingly tolerate. Hate. And they have no problem displaying their feelings through a series of ritualistic passive aggressive maneuvers as they sit across from each other, executive assistants to co-CEOs of a publishing company. Lucy can’t understand Joshua’s joyless, uptight, meticulous approach to his job. Joshua is clearly baffled by Lucy’s overly bright clothes, quirkiness, and Pollyanna attitude.

Now up for the same promotion, their battle of wills has come to a head and Lucy refuses to back down when their latest game could cost her her dream job…But the tension between Lucy and Joshua has also reached its boiling point, and Lucy is discovering that maybe she doesn’t hate Joshua. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game.

  1. A very entertaining read! Funny and clever dialogues, sound descriptions of the character’s feelings. I definitively loved this book! It’s a very well written office romance. It doesn’t seem to be a debut novel! I heartily recommend this book!
